Celebrate Freedom Week

Attached please find resources that may be useful to you for Celebrate Freedom Week. I am also including the link to the U.S. Citizenship website (see information below about the U.S. Citizenship Test). The site has a list of all the questions on the test, practice tests that provide explanations for the correct and incorrect answers (so students can learn while they practice), lesson plans, and a variety of resources for your use during Celebrate Freedom Week and beyond.

United States Citizenship Test

As a result of House Bill 3080, beginning this school year, students in public schools will be administered a test the same as or substantially similar to the civics portion of the naturalization test used by the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services between their ninth and twelfth grade years as an indicator of student achievement in the area of civics education. The test will be available online and in PDF form in early September.

An online and a paper/pencil version of the test will be available beginning on September 10th at
