On Behalf of YWCA Wheeling
This year, the YWCA Wheeling received 890 essays from 29 counties. The excellence of the essays attests to the excellent education you are providing to our students.
Choosing the winners was a difficult process due to the creativity and insight expressed in many of the essays. Nonetheless, our judges have completed the difficult process and I am pleased now to announce the winners of the state-wide 2014 Project on Racism Essay Contest. Please find a list of winners attached to this message.
All winners will receive a cash prize and will be invited to a luncheon in Charleston sponsored by the Governor’s Office on Monday, January 20. Details regarding the prizes and luncheon will be forwarded to the winners individually.
Thank you all for your support of the 2014 Project on Racism Essay Contest. Everyone who participates is a winner!
