Golden Horseshoe Play

“Golden Horseshoe,” a musical celebration of West Virginia’s history and heritage. Performances are at the beautifully-restored Metropolitan Theatre in downtown Morgantown, Oct. 24 – 26 at 8 p.m. and Oct. 27 at 2 p.m. TICKETS: http://tickets.ghmusical.com

“Golden Horseshoe” is about a father helping his son study West Virginia history while coping with the recent death of his own father. The story unfolds in fun, musical, historical scenes in the son’s imagination–they visit John Brown, Stonewall Jackson, and many other important people and places from West Virginia’s history. By reconnecting with his heritage, the father eases the pain of his own father’s passing and forges a strong bond with his son.

“Golden Horseshoe” is funny and touching, entertaining and uplifting, exciting for the whole family. If you’re proud of your West Virginia heritage, or if you came from somewhere else but love your new home among the hills, “Golden Horseshoe” will be an evening of laughter and tears, nostalgia and pride.
